The anthology ART BRUT BRNO 2023 showcases the current visual art creation of individuals with mental disabilities and individuals with mental illness in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It presents various approaches in the field of art brut and the methodology of art education for individuals with disabilities. Each chapter offers a unique perspective through topics such as workshops, specific approaches by artists from studios, collecting, reflections on current exhibitions, conference reports, and much more. This publication serves as the main output of the Art brut Brno 2023 conference, but it also includes scholarly texts by prominent theorists and reflections by instructors who are interested in inclusive artistic expressions. The anthology provides contemporary insights into the creative processes of visual art creation of people with handicapp and offers a glimpse into their unique worlds.
