The second volume of the commented list compiled on the basis of resources and current research of Diptera in the Pálava Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO. A total of 3 017 species have been ascertained, representing almost 45% of the Diptera in the Czech Republic. Each family is briefly characterized and accompanied by a list of species documented by published data or documentary collection material. The second part includes the Schizophora family (Acalyptrata and Calyptrata) and the final part, which summarizes the current status of the Diptera knowledge, calculates the species described in the Pálava Reserve, and summarizes the information on their monitoring and protection.
