The book is dedicated to the subject of Czech fairytale fiction between 1990 and 2010. Each chapter examines how the "genre map" of children's and youth literature was changing in the course of these two decades and how the poetics of relevant authors (including Arnošt Goldflam, Pavel Šrut, Petr Nikl, Pavel Čech, Radek Malý, Daniela Krolupperová, Olga Černá, Ivona Březinová, and others) was evolving. The publication is supplemented by a digest of published fairytale books. The book is intended for professionals among teachers and librarians, students, but also for laymen interested in Czech fairytale fiction.
