The Czech and Slovak meeting was organized by the Department of the History of the State and Law, Faculty of Law, Masaryk University, for young candidates of the fields of legal history and Roman law and for their colleagues from other departments as well. In the proceedings there are also contributions dealing with the history of law by authors from the fields of positive law and general history. The contributions are mainly written by historians of law and Romanists but still the title is not absolutely accurate. The proceedings are published within the specific research frame of Masaryk University.
