Kalendárium filozofů a vědců
The presented diary has been created in order to meet the practical need of everyday planning, essential in every profession, as well as to introduce in a popular manner significant scientific discoveries, philosophical ideas, methods and key figures of science and philosophy to lay readers. For every day, the calendar offers one scholar who was either born or died on the day, and, for every week, a portrait, placed on the opposite page, inspired by one of the personalities of the week or by a relevant problem. The diary is not intended as a systematic and comprehensive encyclopedia of science, but as an entertaining and popular handbook for inquisitive individuals who aren´t afraid to take a look into often complex and highly abstract world of science and philosophy.
