The contributions of several authors have a common denominator – the question of the end or ends, particularly of the world(s), in terms of its development within the human thinking, culture and religion in the past and the present. The primary goal of this publication is to present eschatology as selected religious traditions have it. This textbook, however, is not limited to religious reflections, it also deals with philosophical and cosmological as well as scientific understanding of the end (of the world).
