Title in English: With or without Angels; ‘Tis a Crappy World
A combination of literature and the literature on literature, Josef Prokeš's latest book offers twice the delight for the reader. The first part of the book contains ten chapters on literary theory for advanced readers; the second part offers a particular artistic text for analysis: Prokeš’s storybook Na sviňu svět (2008). The third, final part uses various critical reflections to illustrate how different reviewers see the text diversely. Their arguments interestingly flicker into the theoretical considerations of the first part and thus light the lanterns on the other side of an imaginary literary-interpretation “tunnel”.
