The textbook aims at students of full-time or distance education of Pedagogical assistance and teaching of German. Together with the e-learning course Contemporary German Syntax it provides theoretical background and a number of exercises to learn German syntax. The syntax of German is compared with Czech syntax on the basis of dependency grammar.
