Matematická pregramotnost a učitelé mateřských škol

Title in English: Mathematical pre-literacy and nursery school teachers.

The monograph focuses on a component of professional competence of nursery school teachers to prepare, carry out, reflect and analyze such activities for pupils which develop mathematical pre-literacy in the context of the overall personal development. Theoretical background of mathematical pre-literacy and the position of mathematics in the context of education of nursery school teachers is given. Also included are outcomes of a research into attitudes of prospective nursery school teachers to mathematics (in the form of open texts) as well as into their (and teachers') reflections of mathematical pre-literacy and their readiness for its development (in the form of a questionnaire). These outcomes were confronted with opinions of a sample of nursery school teachers.
