Náboženství pravěkých Evropanů
Title in English: The Religion of prehistoric Europeans
Modern science does not have many tools to understand the beginnings and early stages of the religious thinking of man. The biological evolution of humans as well as the vast majority of their history took place at prehistoric, i.e. pre-written times. The first traceable signs of human religiosity and its subsequent development are acquainted primarily thanks to archaeology. The author of the book, professor Vladimír Podborský, comes up with the concept of a new boundary discipline: archaeo-religious studies, as he calls it, focus on prehistory and early historical religiosity. The book contains huge amount of archaeological material related to prehistoric and early historical religiosity that has never been gathered before, so it is definitely of interest not only for archaeology students, but also for archaeologists, religionists, and others.
