The Memorial Book of the City of Brno from 1343 to 1376 (1379) is a unique and rich written historical resource containing valuable testimony to the life of a medieval city. It is the work of public notary Jan, who not only reflected his times but draws from his extensive knowledge of older legal practice as well. That is one of the reasons why this monument represents a complex of historical resources, which does not have an equivalent of the time in this country.
