The textbook deals with the issues of social security law at theoretical and practical level. The subject and system of social security law, fundamental principles and functions of this branch of law, sources and factors having an impact on its standard are researched. In addition, social security relations and legal facts in social security are examined from the theoretical point of view. In the practical part, particular legal regulation of social security law in the Czech Republic and EU legislation relating to social security are analyzed.
