Regions in International Society

Free E-book

This publication focuses on the English School of International Relations and its view on regions in international society. Until recently, the English School ignored the regional level of analysis and understood international society to be globally homogeneous. This publication (1) highlights a gap between this perception and the current state of international society; (2) develops the topic of regions within the English School framework indicating various ways how to connect regional analysis with the English School; (3) and empirically examines regions – East Asia, South America, Central Asia – which have not been much analyzed from the perspective of the English School.
