The publication is the first monograph to take a detailed look at the subject of the sporting life of Russian émigrés in Czechoslovakia. The book is divided into eight main chapters. For leading athletes, the chapter is usually divided (depending on the number of sources) into the sections Sports and Life, which present many highly interesting life stories. Except for the first chapter, The Russian Sokol, the book focuses on seven branches of sports in which Russian athletes or their descendants excelled in Czechoslovakia: Football, Chess, Boxing, Tennis, Equestrianism, Yachting, and Ice Hockey.
