Title in English: Theoretical and Methodological Approaches to Modern Regional Development Strategies and Public Project Evaluation (The Case of the Czech Republic)
This scholarly publication offers a timely insight into the theory and practice of regional development in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the spatial dimension, organisation, and support of economic and social development, addressing both regional policy and the teaching of regional economics and administration as an independent academic discipline. The research findings are also applicable to project management education at economics-oriented universities. The author presents an overview of selected theories of regional development that build upon macroeconomic concepts and enhance their practical application. The introductory chapter provides concise commentary on the theoretical foundations as well as on issues related to the preparation and implementation of regional development projects.
