The publication deals with the solution of the German question, especially with the involvement of American diplomacy in this complicated process. The author analyses US foreign policy in relation to the German question from the start of the new US administration of President G. Bush at the beginning of 1989 until the conclusion of the diplomatic process of unification of Germany in autumn 1990.
