In the next passages, the textbook attempts to characterize the notion of historical research and its specifics. The third part presents the sources of information that can be employed in the research of the history of pedagogy and education. The next part of this publication describes selected methods used in the historical research. The final chapter introduces significant persons that were or are interested in the history of pedagogy and education.
