Title in English: Education and Turning Points in Society. Conversations with Tomáš Janík

This book is a collection of twelve interviews conducted by Tomáš Janík, a professor at Masaryk University, with representatives from Czech and international pedagogy on the topic of changes in education. The interviewees set their answers within a broad time frame – often in the period of modernity – in particular the reformist pedagogical movement from the turn of the 20th century, the era of the ‘socialist school’ and, most frequently, in the developments after 1989. Among the most pressing current topics reflected on in the interviews are the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
