The book of memories of the Czech worker, Josef Pšenička, represents an important source for research on the everyday life and living conditions of wanderers in the 19th century and in the first third of the 20th century from the social-historical point of view. In his autobiography, written in a peculiar spelling, Pšenička mixes dialectical elements and general Czech with interferences with German in all linguistic levels. Thanks to the book, the reader can explore the development of human consciousness and the history of an individual, a family, or a particular community.
