The purpose of this handbook is to guide students of ethnology through the area of gender studies and clarify the approaches of this area in the field of ethnology. The publication provides an overview of gender-relevant literature and methodology and also gives examples on analyses of narrative information concerning three elementary areas of the world of women’s lives: the intimate, semi-public and public area. In a form of a supplement, the handbook also includes test questions.
