Title in English: Urban sonic environment and its influence on experiencing
The publication presents an overview of findings about the influence of urban sonic environment on our daily experiencing. Two main research approaches to the study of sonic environment are analyzed - traditional "noise" approach and a tradition based on the concept of soundscape. Further, it presents two original studies focused on an analysis of experiential meanings connected with real urban soundscapes, and in this framework, it introduces a specific methodology based on an originally psychotherapeutic technique of Eugen T. Gendlin known as focusing.
