The book of Brno historians of philosophy deals with a period that has not previously been dealt with in terms of the history of Czech philosophy. It provides an overview of book and periodical publications from 1939–1945 and the evaluation of their significance for the Czech cultural life and the Czech philosophy at the time. The appendix includes an overview of significant events in the Protectorate and several previously unpublished or little-known texts. The book is intended not only for university students but also for those interested in the history of Czech philosophical thinking.
