Sold out in MunishopTitle in English: Czech folk song in the context of 1960's to 1980's
The book deals with the complex aesthetic structure of songs by seven most important authors of the Czech folk song from the 60’s to 80’s: Karel Kryl, Vladimír Merta, Vlastimil Třešňák, Jaroslav Hutka, Jaromír Nohavica, Karel Plíhal and Slávek Janoušek. For every one of them the author analyses one typical song, highlights the key motifs and discuss their evolution in the context of composer’s work. The seven personalities are presented as an aggregate of dynamic parts of modern Czech folk song. Their actions are determined by their predispositions, their mutual relations, as well as by their relation to the domestic and world folk music.
